Maintenance Schedule for Wheel Straightener

Make sure to turn off the power before all maintenance work!! 

1. Maintenance Check List – Once a Day 

1-A. When lathe is powered up, Check & Verify if Auto Lubrication Unit is ON(Green LED ON)

Also, the oil level should be above the minimum.

1-A. Add lubrication oil daily to the leadscrew, 6-jaw chuck and main spindle of the wheel straightener efore starting using the machine.

1-C. Check and verify the workable compress air pressure around 135 PSI before flipping the main spindle.

1-D. Clean the entire wheel straightening machine for each work shaft (8 hours).

2. Maintenance Check List – Once a Week

2-A.   Add lubrication oil to the air cylinder and lock pin at the top position of the wheel straightening machine.

2-B.  Add lubrication oil to the air cylinder and lock pin at the lower seat position of the wheel straightening machine.

2-C.  When the lateral cylinder is not used for daily operations, turn the yellow handle to vertical position and disconnect the small cylinder from the valve.

2-D.   Remove the golden color bracket from the machine when it is not used.

3. Maintenance Check List – Once a Month

3-A.   Remove the pie jaws from the top of the 6-jaw chuck. Then fully clean the entire chuck surface area well.

3-B.   Add lubrication oil to the tracks of the bottom master jaws first. Then use hand wrench to turn the leadscrew so that all jaws are moving in & out when to add oil.

3-C.  Carefully check and adjust the tension for the chain associated with the large hand wheel to move the hydraulic ram.

3-D.  Add grease to the area when the steel change and gears are located for turning the hand wheel.

4. Maintenance Check List – Every 3 Months

4-A.  Check and adjust tension of two cables associated with the CENTER handle and LOCK handle when one is going to install or remove the rim from this machine.

4-B. Check and adjust working positions of springs connected with two steel cables for CENTER and LOCK handles.

4-C. Examine two lock pins located at the main spindle and 6-jaw chuck assembly.

4-D.   Examine the limit switch position which is used for flipping the spindle to upside down position.
